Clothing to be free
The primary purpose of clothing is to be a covering from the elements, providing protection, warmth; acting as a second skin for the growing child.
Clothing also presents the child to the world: what the child wears affects the way in which they are met and responded to by adults and other children. The true essence of a child can be overshadowed by the choice of color and style of clothing which projects an imposed image or caricature. True socialization can thus become distorted and in turn, affect the child’s elementary self perception and interaction with the world. Further, the colors of clothing can prematurely take a child out of their primal dream-like consciousness, by being too earthly, harsh or concentrated.
Our new clothing design is developed out of a universal view of the child. That’s why we strive for a style of clothing which also has simple lines, allowing free physical movement, and permits the child to be free in their environment; free of imposed characterizations; free “to be”, and free to become...
