The Octa Flute is a newly designed diatonic flute in C without tone block. It uses German fingering, creates a slightly stronger tone than flutes with a tone block and has a very light articulation.
All the Choroi flutes are characterized by a warm, light, flexible tone. Compared with traditional instruments, the Choroi flutes possess a tone that sounds more like a voice than an instrument.
This unique tone quality leads to a corresponding style of play. A free outbreathing, rather than an active blowing, forms the foundation for the tone. The mouth and lip positions also contribute to the tone formation. The fingers gently touch the specially formed finger holes, which allow half-steps to be achieved naturally by half-covering the holes.

All flutes are treated exclusively with linseed oil.

The chime bars of the Auris Glockenspiel consist of a metal alloy. They are coated with a fine layer of beeswax which enhances the soft, natural shine of the brass. The resonating body made of maple wood is treated with wood varnish and beeswax polish. The Glockenspiels are very finely tuned and have a clear, pure overtone. With their crystal clear and spherical tones they create a particularly lovely sound experience

This glockenspiel has seven removable, pure copper tone bars that form a slightly curved resonating wall which, through its shape and spatial arrangement, stimulates free and natural play. The copper creates a light, warm, bell-like tone with a relatively short reverberation. This is of great benefit when playing melodies, because the often audible metallophonic interference (tonal friction between 2 intervals) is exceptionally low.
