About Us:
Philippe Lheureux, originally from Belgium, has been involved in manufacturing toys since the company’s beginning in 1996. His approach to toy making and business development is based on 25 years of study and experience in Anthroposophy, in the fields of Bio-dynamics, the Arts, Goetheanism, Waldorf Education, Medicine, and Social Science. This also means that the business is the result of the contribution and support of many people met along this path.
He strives to include an understanding of today’s world from an evolutionary perspective, to design toys and other items which fit the human being and our times.
Karen Weyler joined the business in 2008 as a full partner. Originally from Bermuda, she is the mother of 2 children and discovered Waldorf education while living with her family in Germany. Teaching in Waldorf schools since 1996, she has a Waldorf Early Childhood Certificate from Antioch New England Graduate school. She has led Parent and Infant, Parent and Child classes, and teaching children age 2 to 7 years. She currently operates a Waldorf Home Program, and is researching Pre-natal and its importance on child development from an Anthroposophical perspective.
Philippe and Karen have been working together for one year on developing the children’s clothing.
